Guys, this is the sort of post that I hate to make, got a call from Jim Galbavy early this morning. His wife, best friend, navigator and just one of the best gals I have ever met lost he life from sergury complications this morning.
Jim, my heart is broken as I know yours is. Jim Galbavy is the prez of the Tidewater Crabs club, is an enthusiastic GMC owner, been to so many rallies, supported us all since he got his coach "Anne" -- this is just a blow to me personally, to him and I bet anyone who knew Jane.
One of the terrible parts of meeting so many people in the GMC commmunity and making friends in my business are times like these. There are several people I have known through their GMC that when this happens--- it just hurts.
Rick & Mary was another one that touched me-- Jim, I already miss her already, you said you just didn;t know if you could look at your coach without her in the seat-- Anne needs you, Jane will always be there too. take some time but your GMC can help you through this.
I wish Jim Galbavy all that will help him through this, I know all that have had this happen share in his loss. Hang in there man,
Jim Bounds

i'm really saddened hearing this. i met Jim and Jane right after they bought their coach and brought it to a GMCES rally i hosted. Jim had called several times giving me updates on when they would arrive and they were so excited about traveling in the GMC. my best wishes and thought go out to Jim and his family and Jane's family also.

Jim..
I Don't believe I ever met Jim Galbavy but my heart also aches for him..
This came really close to homer for me as my wife just dodges a cancer bullet.. They discovered a 8cm tumor on one of her ovaries.
She has a history of Breast Cancer (She is a 25 year survivor) and her grandmother died of ovarian cancer so the risk was very high..
She insisted on a PET scan before she would allow any treatment and her insurance carrier agreed after a couple of calls from her doctor.. She was found clear of any Cancer.. She will still have to have surgery perhaps a hysterectomy but the Cancer Cloud isn't there any more.. A real relief for us..
Jim if you read this please know that you are in my prayers and I am sure your wife is in a Good Place..

My heart is heavy for Jim and his family. It is a pain so great that we wonder if we will survive it. But we must push forward for the others in our lives. It is a journey along a rough and rocky road but it does get better. With the help of family and friends, Jim will make it. Keep him in your prayers.

I want to thank all of you for your thoughts, prayers, e-mails and phone calls. It is something that is hard to put in words. ......so for once I won't try.
Our daughter flew up from Orlando today and was overwhelmed. I think now she realizes that there is more to it than us just owning an old motorhome. Some of Jane's closest friends ARE people that we met at different club rallies. Jane lived and put up with a lot of pain (me included), but she really enjoyed it when she was picked on by the likes of Chuck Boyd and could pick back and forget the pain. Facing Annie is going to be tough for me. Much of the interior was thought up between Jane and JimB. My part of the coach is around the motor, gas filler door and anything that goes wrong or breaks.
Elly Brennan and Nancy Cobb could also make her smile. Do we have friends? Damn right we do, but friend really isn't a good enough word to discribe them.
Again. .....thank you for just being who you all are.

Jim-
I'm very sorry for your loss and pain. We guys like to fix things and feel helpless when we are faced with something we can't. But I hope you find comfort in her freeedom from pain.
The Lord will lead you out of your grief.

Jim,
My deepest sympathies go out to you and your family. We have never met, but, like many in the GMC community, I feel like I know you. I can't imagine the pain I would feel if I lost my wife, best friend, companion, and partner, Kathy, and can only imagine the feelings you are experiencing right now. As hard as it is, you can take comfort in the knowledge that Jane is in a much better place and free of affliction.
The GMC can help keep Jane alive for you.
Best wishes.

Jim,
We all understand your tremendous sense of loss. Unfortunately, we can't
feel it for you, we can only feel along with you.
In the days far into the future you'll begin to heal from this loss. The
scars will still be there but healing will come. Will that replace the hole
you surely feel in your heart? Absolutely not because it's there for many,
many reasons created over the last forty or so years.
In the days ahead there may be times that you feel like crying out. Give
into the feeling and cry out here.
Your loss is great. Please allow God to work with you in the times when even
the daylight seems bleak.
Many people are praying for you and are ready to share the burden.
