As a relative newbie, I'm reading the posts about the Quartzsite rally. The only GMC event we have been able to attend so far was a day at the GMCMI Amana Colony Rallye a couple of years ago, and (besides leaving money with too many vendors) we had a nice time.

My wife and I are going to be visiting friends in the Phoenix and Apache Junction area that week, and I am wondering if it possibly could be a daytrip from Phoenix? We're not flying in until the 17th (and that's into Tucson), so won't be up in the Phoenix area till the 19th. The 49ers Rally will be officially over by then, but do people hang around for the RV show? Is the RV show worth the drive, or should we stay in Phoenix and enjoy some of the auto auctions?

Thanks,
George
