Saying thanks just does not seem enough for what Bob de Kruyff and Jeff Willard did for Teri and me today.
We had 2 problems. Rear brakes were not adjusted and the rear master cyl. was not working. We were trying to stop this beast with fronts only, not fun at all. Bob brought the M/C and he determined as soon as he drove it that it was not working on either front or back. We jacked up rear and had ZERO braking there. Replaced M/C. While adjusting the rears Jeff found a leaking line. It was cracked at the end of the flare that butts up to the wheel cylinder. Fixed that, in 2 hours, bled them good and adjusted the rest of the rears. We Got Brakes and very good ones. I am sure that we gradually lost braking and I never noticed until the M/C quit and I could not stop in Dallas last Friday night.
Bob did 400 miles to help us and Jeff 100. We all went to supper in Duncan and they departed. What good folks drive GMC motorhomes. I am also very thankful to all those online that helped me, especially Ken Burton.
Now, we can continue to Quartzsite in a few days.
I hope I can repay this good deed by helping others. Never be afraid to call a Blacklist GMC owner or get on this net and cry for help.
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.
I will have a few pictures on our blog later this evening.
