Hello all,

We are southbound i39 in Illinois. When we exceed about 50 mph we hear
from the engine a constant higher pitched sqeaking sound. It seems to
lessen when we release the accelerator. We suspect it might be a loose
belt, possibly the alternator? We stopped and opened engine
floorboard, started the motor, all was normal. Reved the motor a
little heard some squeaking, one belt looked like it vibrated a
little. Suggestions? Should we stop and try to tighten alternator
tension?
Thank you

Southbound,
Mike and Steph
