Larry,
My experience tracks yours. I only recently changed the front pads I installed about 15 years ago. They were "ordinary" non-metallic pads with a "lifetime warranty" (from a NAPA store in Anchorage). 'Had more that 80K mi. on them. Extrapolating to the time a wear limit indicator would contact the rotor, they would likely have gone another 20K mi.
About 90% of our use of the motorhome is for highway trips of over 1000 miles.

You guys must be driving your coach to work or something. How in the world are you wearing out a set of pads? Most of our driving is on the highway between places to park. I've had a set of pads on now for 5 yrs and 20K miles. Can hardly see the wear on them. I'm thinking they may outlast me...;)
