I bit the bullet September 1 and purchased a nice low mileage 73
exglacier. I drove it home 480 miles without any problems. It has the
original blue seats and white vinyl dinette seats that show little wear and
75,000 on the clock. The PO spent a ton on mechanicals, front and rear
wheelbearings, brakes, engine, belts, hoses, air compressor, shocks, new
tires, air conditioner, etc. It has been repainted beige and it's not the
best paint job but will do and doesn't look bad from afar. It has spent
it's entire live in the dry NM desert and has NO rust. It still needs
a little TCL, the 4000 Onan runs, but won't charge and a few other minor
issues but is basically sound. I got it for $5000 which should leave me
room for upgrades like the 4 bag system and Alcoas. I was a carpenter in my
other life and have lots of ideas on the interior. I already purchased 4
Honda leather seats for the cockpit and to replace the dinette. Thanks for
all your ideas, I really enjoy this community.
