I asked this earlier but I think it may have gotten lost in the many responses to the original thread. I presently have an Edelbrock carb on my '77 Eleganza II. It also has headers. It runs great, especially at highway speeds (55-65 mph). The coach averages 8.1 mpg. I have the original carb but it probably needs rebuilding. I have no interest in returning the coach to original. Is their any advantage to rebuild the carb and swapping out the Edelbrock? It almost seems like the answer may be: "If it ain't broke, don't fix it!". Thanks for any replies.
