As I understand there are three coaches with the production system
installed; the design engineer that took Chuck's system and came up
with the
production system (I think his name is Rick), Chuck Aulgur's coach,
and Jim
K's personal coach.

Rob,

That was the intended arrangement that Jim and I were to present at
the Pueblo seminar. Jim and I planed on having both our coaches at
Pueblo so people could drive them and fell the differences and we
could also do some braking demonstrations. Jim's coach was to be the
primary coach and mine was to be the backup (I wonder why) if Jim's
coach didn't make it to the rally. I didn't get all the parts from
Jim in time to install them before leaving for the rally and my coach
is currently setting in it's motorhome port with the production
version on the passenger side (with no brake line hoses installed)
and my original system on the driver's side. Not quite the proper
configuration to drive over the mountains between La Mesa and
Pueblo. So in truth, Rick Flanagan has the only GMC with the
production version installed and his coach is the one we did all the
brake testing on earlier this year. All the video and test results
are on his computer that you saw at Santa Rose.

I know there are a lot of skeptics out there that want to see the
test results and I would like to see them myself, even though I was
present for the testing. My main job was to hold one end of the tape
measure for Jim when he measured the various stopping distances'.
Rick's coach had a device that was actuated by his stop light switch
which marked the pavement when the brakes were applied and where his
coach stopped moving marked the end of the test. We had so many
rubber marks on the pavement it got hard to find a fresh place to
stop. We finally had to stop testing because his brake disc got so
glazed over and we started getting erratic data.

Unfortunately, all the engineers at his company got let go except him
several months ago and Rick has been so overloaded with work he
hasn't had any free time to organize all the data in a form that
could be presented at a seminar.

Science Ken H. has all the equipment and experience doing the yellow
pad testing, He should take up Jim's offer to supply him with a
production version at a lowball price and he could perform some
independent brake testing and show all the skeptics the test data.
He has been giving me a hard time over the need to have the reaction
bars on the rear wheels but I think e is pulling his leg. Everyone
knows he does not have any brakes on the rear of his coach an as
exacting as he has been on all the modification he has done on his
coach, I can't believe he did not do some testing that showed
removing the rear brakes did not affect his maximum stopping
capability. He would not sacrifice safety to prevent possible flat
spots on his rear tires,

chuck A.
