Some Pueblo thoughts.. ....

1. First..Left Friday from Peublo to Sante Fe. Easy trip. Stayed at Sante Fe Skies RV park. Also spent some time in a bar in Madrid (about 14 miles away) where they filmed some of the movie "Wild Hogs".

2. Left Sante Fe early Saturday morning, caught the end of the ballon festival "mass ascension". Pretty awesome, about 100 ballons in the sky when we went through Alberquerque.

3. Put the hammer down and went non-stop Sante Fe to SoCal. About 800 miles. Got home about 11:00 pm. Big headwinds coming across the I-40. Mileage really sucked. Used a half quart of oil and leaked a 1/2 pint of transmission fluid. Not bad and better than I thought.

4. The rally....Very well organized. Thank you to JR. Slaten and his crew.

5. The sessions were on time and very well managed.

6. Rob Mueller knows how to run a session meeting.

7. If you go to one of the sessions you like, take copious notes. Most of the good stuff comes from the "off the cuff" comments from the presenter.

8. The value of Dick Patersons engine building session is in being there. NO amount of handouts, PowerPoints or recordings can do it justice. You have to listen to Dick in person to fully appreciate what the guy does to a 455.

9. Food was tasty and filling. Morning coffee and donuts excellent.

10. Always wear your name badge or you will be scorned.

11. I didn't know that Emery Stora was such a fun loving guy.

12. Fin Beven makes great Margaritas.

13. The coaches were kind of spread out but the electrical, water, sewer connections were first rate.

14. I bought a digital converter box and an antenna and got excellent local TV reception. A government program that WORKED!!!

15. We went to Canon City and went on the Royal Gorge train ride. Very nice way to spend an afternoon.

16. Went to Colorado Springs and visited the Garden of the Gods park. Spectacular scenery.

17. Bought a combiner from JimK in the vendors area. I still don't understand some of Jim's analogy's. Hope that Jim gets his coach running as good as his pinewood derby racer.

18. Continue to thank Steve Ferguson for recommending BFG Commercial T/A tires for our coach.

19. Made some great new friends.

20. Love...Colorado, New Mexico and Arizona gas station filler nozzles, California nozzles blow!! In more ways than one.

21. You don;t have to be retired to have fun at a rally and enjoy your GMC.!!!

Thanks
