Here's an update on the valve tick /squirting lifter on my 455

Jim,
it looks like you are right on the bogus lifters. I pulled #1 out and found a broken flow restrictor?
A piece was lodged in the check valve holding it open
Here is the disassembled lifter, a 'good lifter is shown below it.

now, about that good lifter, when out of the vehicle, on the workbench, I tried to push the plunger down, it does not move. Not even a little with my full weight on it for a solid minute, no oil came out of the hole on the side. not even a drip. I repeated this on 3 other lifters. I was on the phone with Matt Colie and he tells me thats not right ( as I suspected! )
But they look OK otherwise

Other news, Rocker #7, the coked up one, is worn on the pivot.
So I think it's new lifters and rockers at least

Compression looks ok, 195+- across the board except #2 which is about 180-185
