Robert Cosby posed on Facebook he had some takeout cabinets from his GMC. I needed the one over the dinette, so I went over this morning and picked it up, along with two small ones he had. Unfortunately he wasn't there, one of the other folks said he'd had some water problems at his house. I sent him a message, "Thank you!!"
So I started home and my Town and Country started giving problems. Running hot, strange shifting. I decided to travel streets instead of the freeway - good choice. The charge light came on, went off, came back. Directly on Old Milton Pkwy (4 - 6 lane divided main street in a 'burb just north of the city, it quit. I started pushing it to the very close turnoff, several people stopped and helped. Got it up on the curb on a side street and thanked them profusely. Called Paula, after an hour and directions from the po-lice she got there. I tried to charge the battery from her car, all that happened was the jumpers got too hot to hold. So, we came home in her car. A - Tow driver just called, said he found it and was loading and heading this way.Under $200 for the tow, 40 miles or so to here. Someplace either the battery (3 month Die-Hard) has a shortening in it, or more likely one of the cables is touching ground someplace. I'll sort it out Monday. Robert posted the cabinets on one of the GMC facebook sites, I have the two single door ones if someone wants them let me know. Same price as I paid, free. Even with the tow, less than having one made I suppose.
