Was curious exactly how it works... ie: how are the air bubbles bled off? Is there a fuel return or some such periodic purge solenoid involved? Or would you just open the valve I see in the pics in the top from time to time?
If it's manual, wonder if something like this could be used to automate the valve opening?

Not sure if that valve would be fuel safe, though.... EDIT: never mind... It does say it is rated for fuel.... Maybe an old fuel tank switching valve?
Getting off the highway on a downhill exit low on fuel always gives my wife a heart attack, when the engine stumbles in my coach.... Hasn't been an important enough issue to make it to the top of my to do list, but with a part easily available, I may consider moving it up in priority....
