Next problem - The driver of my old coach (just sold and on it's way across the US to the east coast) lost the alternator belt - belt is still there and a mechanic has come out to put it back on.

He was running on the Onan to charge the coach battery, and the Onan ran out of gas (got below 1/4 tank). It has had no starting problems up to this point - fired right up first shot today when we needed it.
Question - how long will it take of attempted starts before the air is out of the Onan fuel line?
Once the alternator belt is back on it won't be a huge immediate issue, but it is so nice to have as back-up (case in point!)
And I can't remember - if he wanted to use the on-board switch and disconnect the starter just to prime the system, or by-pass it on the board, what is an easy way for this fellow to be able to do this?
