As your working away on your GMC. You get distracted by lunch, a phone call, or whatever. You may lose track of what bolts that you just put in. And has each one been properly tightened. Been there. Done that. Promise.
I put a small chalk mark at each bolt/nut. As I put them in. And only whip that mark off. After I've confirmed the torque on each one. Is properly secured. I started doing this. Because I had a shock bolt come off on one of my Road Race Yenkos. On a track. In a turn. At just above 95 MPH. Been doing this to everything. Ever since. It's been amazing how much comfort that's brought me. While being on the road with everything.
