Our old 1997 Macerator has crapped out, and I'm putting a new one in on Saturday. The new one is a similar JABSCO model 18590, just like the one its replacing, so I should not have to rearrange any plumbing. My intent is to flush the black tank with the gravity hose while the rear of the coach is squatted down low, and then, back the rear of the coach onto the ramps so that the coach is nose down to remove and replace the macerator. I hope this plan works to reduce the messiness of this project. Anyone have any tips or tricks for this operation?
