A friend asked me if I knew anyone that was familiar with GM Ignition Coils (Not HEI)

He indicated that he has seen coils stamped on the metal outside with the numbers 135, 151, 200, and 221.

Do these numbers have any meaning or are they just manufacturing lot numbers?

Are they any differences with these coils such as light duty, medium duty and heavy duty?.

I suspected that GM made coils with different heat ranges to accommodate 6 piston as well as 8 piston engines.

Any information that you could provide would be helpful.
