I'm getting ready to install a new water pump, and I'm looking for some advise.

1... the book states to coat the bolts in motor oil. Would there be anything better to use? Maybe anti seize, synthetic grease, synthetic oil?

2... is the bypass hose from the water pump to the thermostat housing just standard heater hose?

3... the book states to use liquid gasket sealer to adhere the gasket to the water pump. I usually use aviation gasket Sealer. Is that too extreme? Or should I use something different?

4... should I use gasket sealer on both sides of the water pump gasket? I would think not..

Or am I being too anal..Thanks for the help, Scott.
