OK here is my followup on my insurance saga: After Progressive doubled my
premium to $932.86 for a $15,000 agreed value, I shopped AAA who sends you
to progressive. Shopped Farmers who carries mu home who quoted Foremost, at
a $1076.76. Not even an agreed value. Blue book value and you know what a
problem that is. Then went to Good Sam member services. Quoted National
General who will only write liability of 100,00/300,000 at $$544. Then got a
SafeCo quote, headquartered in Washington State. $250,000/500,000 liability,
agreed value at $15,000 for $445.54 per year.
Talked about the rates on most every body going up in the state of Ca.
Broker said rates increased some because of the fire, but mostly from our
new more liberal more moonbeam governor and his pick of an insurance
commissioner. Seems that a company can not give discounts anymore, like for
good credit, member of an association (good sam) good driving record, etc.
Everyone must be treated the same, illegal or legal. Think about creeping
liberalism and socialism when you go to vote.
I'm going to sign up with Safeco.
