My heater blower motor has expired, you can barely turn the shaft.
I bought what everyone said was the correct motor (AutoZone PM102) and the blower wheel (AutoZone 35601)
The problem is that the motor fits the housing and has the correct electrical connector, the shaft is really too short for the new wheel, it has to be put almost at the end of the shaft and the set screw barely grabs the shaft to hold it, I managed to get a regular 10-32 nut on the end and it probably wasn't needed.
The blower wheel however will not fit in the housing as it catches and drags on the wheel flange at the base next to the motor.
The configuration of the new motor will not fit the original plastic wheel as the motor shaft is not tall enough.
Any suggestions from anyone who has done this?
