I'm selling the Cadillac 500 that I had built by John Beavers for the car hauler project. I have come to realize that I will probably never even get started on that project...much less finish it.

Here is the deal, the engine is a 76(pretty sure) Cad 500. John Beaver of Beavers Racing Engines in Americus GA built the engine. It was bored 20 over with of course new pistons, rings, bearings, etc. John ordered high quality head gaskets from one of the Caddy suppliers. The crank was fine and was polished. The original cam and lifters were fine and were re-used. It has the stock rocker arms and system. It has a freshly rebuilt original carb done by John's Carb guy in Americus.

The engine is at John's shop ready to be run in. It makes sense for it to stay at John's shop so a buyer can hear it run rather than bring it up to my place and let it become a 'ran good when it last ran' engine. John will do the break in on his engine stand and then drop the pan and inspect. If everything is OK, he'll button it up and you'll be good to install. Purchase takes place AFTER the break in inspection.

It is ready to install. Ken Henderson can tell you about that process and what it means. One thing I know it means is lots of SMOOTH power!

John tells me a fair price is $4000 out the door, Carb, distributor, accessories, etc...ready to install. John is willing to crate and ship at the buyers expense.

I also have a spare engine and bits sitting on a pallet in Huntsville, Al that go with the engine. Unknown condition.

I also have two TH425's. One is the original tranny that was in my 77 Eleganza. There was nothing wrong it with it but when I pulled the 403 to have John rebuild it, I put a new Manny Tranny with Powerdrive in it. Call, we'll talk.

I have another 425 that was rebuilt in the late 90's by AAMCO here in Huntsville. It still has the tag on it. Manny said it is probably fine as long as it's not rusty inside. Call, we'll talk.

The best way to reach me is two56.six79.four4eight8 or text to that number.
