Last year one of our Midwest Club members gave a call out to join him in "invading" the local small town car show held at the airport in conjunction with an air show and radar run. We had 12 coaches come out last year and the response from the local show was positive, so we called last years event the "First annual Gmc invasion".

2018, our club member Jeff Wolf again opened up his small hobby farm for camping, bonfires and food for the weekend. We rolled out early saturday morning convoying 16 GMC's 4 miles into the car show. We had 2 other GMC's show up as well for a total of 18 GMC's in the car show. The weather was perfect and we all had great seating to watch the airshow as well.

The Duramax powered 4x6 GMC came out as well, and he put on a little show on the radar run as well, doing some start up burn outs. Unfortunately I think he spilled his drink racing down the race track and thought he was through the gates when he hit the brakes, getting a lousy 47MPH.. Or he was confused and thought he was running an 1/8 mile? either way he can try to redeem himself next year.

on a side note, my Engine is almost a week old. Driving the coach out to this event was the first break in run for my new engine, and it ran really well. I had a couple leaks(lower radiator hose and power steering return line), that just needed the hose clamp tightened up on the new hoses. So far so good. Heading an hour north with the coach this upcoming weekend as well.
