Does not work, at least for very long.
Here's the problem: Those items were made in a mold and mold release was
mixed into the "plastic type material" so it would come out. Almost nothing
will stick except... wait for it. a special two part epoxy made for the
marine industry to glue together hardwoods. Hardwoods have oils and reaction
is like a mold release. I have successfully used the epoxy for years on my
grill(s). I also glued on mounting bolts to the grill to replace those
oem's. And you can buy the epoxy from Applied. Great for other stuff as
well.
