Our coach still has the iron manifolds.
I was going to start assembling the new stainless exhaust system that I got from Applied to replace the rotting out mufflers.
Now that the engine and transmission are in the frame in front of the coach, it makes sense to bolt up to the manifolds and work aft....
I did save the flanges, but I did not save the gaskets (aka exhaust donuts).
No problem, last time I needed them, they were right there in the parts store. . .
Guess what, I Need 2 (one for each side of a 455), and there are two shops that each say that they have one...
Those shops are 30 miles apart and in different directions.

I placed an order and they should be here Wednesday.

I called a number of the bigger muffler shops, one does not stock them at all, the other MIGHT be able to match them up if I was to go 11 miles to get there, but I did not retain the old ones.

So it goes.

Matt
