Well, my mobile mechanic never called me back to set up a time for him to replace my timing belt so I needed to find another solution.

I called Coach-Net our roadside service provider and explained the situation. Since the GMC couldn't move and was an antique, I was able to convince them to have it towed to a GMC truck center that had worked on a couple GMCs in the Denver area in the past. Since this was the only 'real GMC' garage, Coach-Net towed my GMC 87 miles to the truck center. This one tow more than paid for my $135 membership.

I HIGHLY recommend Coach-Net. They saved my bacon when the Ignition module went out last year and of course, the help they provided today. They also arranged to have it towed on a flat bed! A picture can be found here: http://imgur.com/UnstObv It looks like a toy on that large trailor.

As some of you suggested, I purchased the Cloyes timing chain and sprockets. I will also have the hoses, harmonic balancer, etc changed too.

Thank you for all the suggestions!
