Ok as we start into our 7th year of ownership (has it been that long already?) I have finally installed the fresh water tank probe/sending unit that came with the parts box. also in that box was the wiring diagram has how to make this work. possibly with the OEM gauge or perhaps with the JRV unit I sold shortly after the purchase of the couch as I wanted to stay original.

Anyway, when I hook the black wire to the ground and yellow wire to the snd terminal the needle moves. it doesn't read it just moves up a bit. I have at least a 1/4 tank of water.

Do I need to provide 12 volt to the positive terminal?

Once you replace everything that is attached to something else. It will all be fixed.
