The 6010 noise is a higher frequency than the Onan. Higher frequencies are easier to attenuate than the low frequency hum from the Onan. You need lots of heavy mass like lead and Sheetrock to absorb low frequency energy. So properly insulated you can make the Honda much quieter than the Onan . I have had then both and my Honda is much quieter. It also help to be deaf to higher frequencies! With all the the self help videos and Paul's support at Pinellas I'll take the Honda every time. I think $1200 on a unit with less than 300 hours is a bargain.
