Hi all,
No real gmc content here other than we remain gmc owners and we have had many off line emails asking for an update, so here goes.
The Prevost offers an amazing vault like drive/live experience. At 55 (we are in CA at the moment and that is the speed limit for any vehicle towing anything and for all trucks) with the cruise set you can hardly tell you are moving other than the whoosh of all the trucks and cars towing who pass you buy going waaaay over the posted speed limit. Not enough experience yet with fuel consumption but I don't think it will be all that much more than a GMC surprisingly. Maybe one to one and a half mpg less. Quite a feat for 50,000 pounds instead of 12,000. Cruise control is quite sophisticated. It shifts up and down and applies both stages of the Jake brake as needed to maintain speed over a wide range of terrain and wind conditions. Still learning all the systems and what the sea of buttons do but at least we can stay warm and dry with continuous hot water in all these passing Pacific storms and wind is hardly noticeable. Our best to everyone.
