I need to install an EZ lock for Linda's powered wheelchair in our 78 GMC. It's like a fith wheel hitch. It cost $2,200, and $800 to bolt it to the floor. And they say that I'm not trained to install it. So they wouldn't sell it to me. Well. We had one in the burned Royale. So I went out to dig that one out of the rubble. Took the 4 bolts out. Cleaned it up. Rewired it. As all the components worked. Then painted it. Works perfectly fine. Now I need to install it without the training to drill the holes. I've been trying to figure out how I can make the plywood floor thicker/ stronger with the one inch foam insulation, and aluminum sheet under that floor. And then keep the floor underside away from the exhaust. So I can put a heat shield above the mufflers. So this is were the next neat thing worked out. Because a 24 by 26 inch floor section is cut out due to the NEXT fire. I can install plywood were the insulation was. Then install the floor section back in. So now I'll have my reinforced floor section. And still have the aluminum sheet in place. Funny how things work out sometimes. Bob Dunahugh 78 Royale Mouse House
