After getting new motor at Ken Frey's we went to weigh station down the road from his shop. We weighed each axel and the entire rig. The rig weighed in at 12060# and each end weighed in at about 6000#. The front has large steel plates and solid pipes welded to frame. Pictures are on Jim Bounds website somewhere. We think they were installed when it was stretched about 1996. There is no record of front end problems. Since then I installed beefed up stabilizers front and rear and four bag system. Tires are Michelin and I keep them at 80# in front. I have driven the coach about 6000 miles. Former owner used to tow a car trailer to pick up antique cars that he purchased for resale from all over the country. I lightened up just a bit by replacing the Onan with a Honda but nothing else.
Would installing 1 ton mod be advised.
