Browsing the interior remodel photos on the GMC photo archive I found this

This looks like a fabulous idea. What I removed from my coach was two chairs that were bolted onto wood bases (to increase height) and the bolts went through the floor to the underside.
These obviously are not bolted to the frame, only the top of the platform.

Is that OK to do?

My chairs are OEM or nearly OEM and VERY heavy. Are the newer flex steel chairs less heavy?
i want to put my chairs back in, but I would love to alter where they are a bit; and the idea of a platform seems nice...
