For any one is interested in an A/C option I installed a Danhard 17,000 BTU system in place of the oem in our 73 Glacier. Here is a pic

Here is the unit although ours just has 2 grills instead of three.

You can scan through the photos and see the plenum that we built on the other side of the firewall. It is totally sealed and insulated to allow the cold air to recirculate. Totally removed the OEM stuff. The existing A6 compressor works just fine with the Danhard unit. This system provides lots of cab cooling. All of the OEM vents are just for decoration. This unit does not have a heater but the heater is available in the same size. if it gets a bit chilly Joanne uses a heated blanket plugged into a 12v outlet. we also have the coach heater if needed.
