Hello everyone. Was a not so much fun day today, I took the Grandkids to Folly Beach, SC today, as I was pulling into the camp ground I felt the transmission slip out of drive. I thought that maybe the fluid was low, so parked, sent the girls of to the beach and checked the fluid, but it was fine. When it was time to go home, it slowly got worse so that even low was slipping at a max speed of 13 miles an hour. It took 2 hours to drive 22 miles. 
This is what I know:
She would slip(Pulse) from "S" to "L" if you tried to accelerate. The slower you accelerated the more it would pulse was from "L" to "S"(about once every one seconds). If you give it gas (3,000 RPM's), it would pulse less often but never shifted to "D"
Letting it cool had no effect
Uphill seemed to make it worse, but any wheel torque seemed to make it worse.
She would never go into Drive only "S" or "L"
I check the Vacuum line and it looks like it was replaced in 2006 during the overhaul. There may be a split in the line, but I would have to remove it tomorrow to check. The Transmission was replaced in 2006 by Dunn's Trans Service in Memphis, TN, with a new Heavy duty TC and electric Stepdown switch.
The Transmission has about 10,000 miles on it
Spedo Works fine, so assuming the gear is ok
Hoping this can be fixed without replacement, I had a trip to Hilton head planed on July 14th with the Grandkids, I really don't want to cancel it.
Anyone know of a good mechanic in Charleston SC?
