So I had a little, uh, "incident" last summer with the Onan. (Note to self: Do NOT leave the oil cap off the generator and then start it.) I had an oily mess on the Onan that then attracted all sorts of dust, with the result being a mess of oily dirt in about every crack and crevice on the left side that would be much easier to remove with engine degreaser and a hose. But I've heard that you're not supposed to spray the generator with water, so does anyone have any suggestions on how to effectively clean it up without damaging it?
