Hi all,
Putting a new floor in and noticed some water damage at the step so I removed the lower panel behind the sofa of my '77 Palm Beach. I see where the water is coming from... Up the frame channel from the drivers wheel below. The second darker photo (no flash) shows light from a trouble light below. Its much better seen looking below with a trouble light aimed at the corner. What is suppose to be there to plug that channel? Any ideas to plug it... I though of expanding foam but I think it will break down in the elements fairly quickly.

Also noticed a 120VAC wire going down into the corner. Its covered in foam insulation so a bit hard to see, but it looks like it goes under the floor the the other side likely to power the receptacle at the dinette . There is an aluminum strip where the floor meets the step that the wire appears to go under. There is nothing of the wire that can be seen below. Is this normal? Diagrams show the wires going up over in the roof, not under the floor... maybe a PO shortcut? I can't see the other side since I have have a platform to raise the dinette.

Thanks,

EDIT.. opps, forgot pics.. will post and add the links
