If you really want to save weight quickly, ditch the solid doors and build a simple torsion box - a frame of 3/4 x 3/4" material with an internal brace every 6 to 8". Then glue thin skins of something like Masonite to each side. Cover the show side with wood veneer or laminate. Do the same for the lower cabinet door and drawer faces as well as the closet and bathroom doors. If you are really motivated, also replace the bulkhead walls. Removing all that particle board and MDF will save a lot of weight at the expense of a lot of work.
