You might want to consider The following info I collected over the last
year.

I wrote to Solex Radiant barrier insulation folks, this past August:

"IN LOOKING AT YOUR LITERATURE ON LINE, YOU ADVOCATE AN AIR SPACE BEYOND
THE RADIANT BARRIER INSULATION, YES? MY PLAN WAS TO ATTACH THE RADIANT
BARRIER TO THE ALUMINUM FRAME WITH A DOUBLE FACE ADHESIVE. THAT WOULD LEAVE
AN AIR SPACE OF 1" IN MOST PLACES. I WOULD THEN REPLACE THE CEILING PANELS
AGAINST THE RADIANT BARRIER AND INTO THE ALUMINUM FRAMES WITH MECHANICAL
FASTENERS. IS THAT A GOOD PLAN? WHAT SPECIFIC PRODUCT WOULD YOU USE IN
THIS RESTORATION PROJECT?"

SOLEX REPLY:

That would be the best method to include an airspace of as most that you
can spare. I would recommend our SolexLT R/R which is an 1/8” x 4’ x 250’
roll of material with a low e facing on both sides. I would not use bubble
because the bubbles will eventually lose air and our product has R value
from the thickness of the foam as well as the low e surfaces. $205 per
roll for 1000 sqft plus shipping and made in the USA by us!

Living on a waterfront is not a matter of life or death. Its more
important than that.
