This GMC (http://lasvegas.craigslist.org/rvs/5174902791.html) was discussed
briefly in another thread about “what is it worth on the low end.”

I called and talked to the owner today. His name is Dan and has owned the
GMC for about 17 years. He bought it from the original owner’s family in San
Diego. Dan had heart surgery about 6 years ago and hasn’t started or used
the coach since. It is registered as a 1975 even though it has an
Electrolevel system. The VIN number is TZE165V101297.

It has a seemingly original interior and exterior. It has been sitting so he
said that it needs a good dusting off and cleaning. He says that when he
parked it before his surgery, it and the Onan were running great and
everything inside worked. He’s not in a position now to check it all out, so
he can’t vouch for the condition of anything now. He’s a really nice guy who
knows about GMCs.

There doesn’t appear to be any exterior damage.

If I were in the market, I would fly out there and check the frame for rust.
If it was good then I would check the general condition and buy it. I would
have JimK ship 7 new Eagle or Alcoa wheels to Dan’s address. While the tires
were being mounted locally I would buy a battery, change the oil and install
the Sully built airbag system. After a test drive I would launch toward
Sacramento. After hearing of the condition, this seems totally possible.
I’ve driven worse GMCs home before.

Dan has ¾ acre there and enough tools to accomplish everything that I
describe above. He seems very willing to help in any way. Of course you
could just have it towed to your shop locally.

Dan emailed me several photos of the exterior and interior. If anyone is
interested, let me know and I can email these photos to you.

I have no connection to Dan or this GMC, and I receive nothing for posting
this message. I would just like to see this coach go to a good home rather
than the scrapper.
