Well I finally installed belt tightener and it works just as advertised. My only regret is that I wish I had learned about it before I fabricated my own tool (which did not work well) and skinned a few knuckles and uttered more than a few choice words. The only thing I did wrong was I did not read the instructions close enough and did not have washers on hand to even out the standoffs to align the bolt and hole. A quick trip to the local hardware store fixed that. Good addition and could not imagine being stuck on the road and having to put on a new belt without it.
