The extra 455 that came with Glenn's GMC had camshaft oil restrictors installed in the oil passages that lubed the camshaft. Those passages were all drilled, and taped. Then 3/8th Allen set screw with a .100 inch hole drilled in it was installed. The oil hole in the cam bearing has a .160 inch hole. Found them during the block cleaning process before boring the cylinders. I question the benefit of that oil restriction. The block is now bored, and cleaned again. Crank is now turned with the oil outlets in the journal radius ed. The crank rough surface of the counter weights have been smoothed off along with the crank parting lines. Then balanced the crankshaft, rods, pistons, flywheel, and harmonic dampener. Tomorrow I need to re clean the block, crankshaft, and all internal parts again.
