Met a retired couple on the road with a 23’ that had a side wet (shower) bath with a unique, for us, different storage solution.
They provided more storage by putting a raisable hinged cover over their queen sized air bed (select comfort?) The top cover was hinged so that they could lift the cover exposing an additional storage space of ~14” deep, ~80” long and ~53” wide, with a hamper at the head over the generator cover. If they had to get to the stuff near the back, they would vent the bed so it would fold up out of the way and then lay it over the hamper. They also used a sleeping sock like we have that is much easier to use than sheets and a blanket. zip it up and move it out of the way.
They had a foldable step that hinged out of their large cabinet door for the storage drawer under the bed.
He said it took about the same amount of time to get to this new storage volume as climbing up on the roof to get to his old storage place, only this one is bigger and dryer when it is raining. He also said that is was easier than climbing up on the roof and now didn’t have to worry about falling off the roof any more. The bed when pressurized and covered with the bed sack was just up to the bottom of the windows.
They were not full timers.
