Hard to believe but in a few days I will have been the care taker of this coach for a year. I have had the honor and pleasure of meeting some pretty amazing people in my travels for parts and knowledge, and Im a better person for getting to know them.
The list of new / updated parts is too long to get into, but it starts at the headlights and ends at the tail lights. Some 67 entries on the spreadsheet. Wore the hat of a carpenter, electrician, plumber, carpet and flooring installer, mechanic, and even a camper for a day or two:) Lots of refinished Walnut, some beautiful parts from Mr. Lenzi. and some much needed guidance from some local GMCers. THANK YOU.
As ordinary as it sounds, I took a trip for a few miles to fill up the LP tank. Hit 60mph on the highway for a mile or two and came back with all six wheels still bolted on. Still have some things to work on and work out. But it starts, runs, drives, steers and STOPS. Having replaced more fluids, gaskets and grease than I care to comment on, I'm pretty happy that its no longer marking its spot in the driveway.
Looking forward to a few more camping trips this summer, and a few more uneventful miles.
77 Royale, Rear Dry Bath. 403, 3.55 Final Drive, Lenzi goodies, Patterson carb and dizzy.
