When I first tried, I could not locate a local supplier for the indicated carburetor kit. When I tracked down both G1-LM and K1-LMB, neither had a needle and seat in the kit. I located and aftermarket LMB kit that did...
PrimeLine Carburetor kit 06-1016 or 7-02020 Both numbers are on the package.
Is nearly useless. It contains lots of parts, but many are not right for the Onan BF. I cannot say for the NH, but I would be surprised if it was any better.
The bowl gasket is close and it does have an O-ring that can fit the main needle, but there aren't enough of the gaskets of the size you want for the both the float seat and the float bowl screw. One of the too large can be worked to fit the seat. And one gasket does fit the intake flange.
About the needle and seat, this is a soft nosed needle and a hard seat. The OE is a soft seat (or was once) and a hard needle. That shouldn't matter. The problem is that the seat was drilled 0.111 (about the same as the old seat before the rubber element was pushed in there). As it is, the 3 psi of the fuel pump can push right past this. I made it work by plugging and redrilling the the new seat to 0.040 (#60). This is not an operation that can be done with normal shop tools.
That O-ring for the main needle will only go in with a lubricant. It is not sized correctly, but it can be made to work. I didn't even think of this one until the Jim Hupy note. Mine was toast. Harder than toast, actually.
The bowl gasket is actually small, but with care, it can be persuaded to stay in its groove during assembly.
The narative:
Well, my Onan has been remarkable. It gives us less trouble that our Gravelys that are about the same age. Last season it started having a problem the I thought I had figured out. The mixture control was unstable and it would sometimes just go rich. I had seen this before. It looked just like the "sinking float syndrome". As I have a spare BF Onan (thank you Ken Wolkins), I got the float from that one and it seemed to cure the issue. But not for long. I managed to acquire an NOS float. Well then I did the thing I should have done before, I weighed each. They were within 0.1 gram of each other.
I located rebuild kits for the Walbro LMB, I bought three. (One for each I have and a spare.) This is the kit that promised a needle and seat. Yesterday I got at it. As said, it up and online again. I still need to warn it up and load it to get it settled in, but I have confidence.
