It's a 1973, and it's been parked the last 8 years, though the owner (who
has 3 of them) has started it periodically, and it starts immediately, and
seems to run good (as far as can be told without driving it), I have put it
in D and R, and it does push agaisnt the chocks. The interior is either
good enough, or missing (no couch or dinet up front, and bare hardwood for
a floor, fridge likely bad), needs new tires, and a full maintence cycle
(lube all bearings, change brake fluid, engine & transmission, etc). And
I'll probably put Sully bags on it as soon as I can.
It has just over 50k miles, and his asking price is $2600, which strikes me
as either fair, or a touch high. If it goes three years without major work,
I'd be fairly happy. No, I'm not going to gut it, I'm going to use it, and
fix up one thing at a time, I already have a couch/bunk to install (well, I
need the bottom part, I have the back and belts).
Thanks,
Ron
