Driving down the road on a test drive oil pressure started dropping and valve lifters started tapping. Stopped and checked the oil and got no level. I checked it again and still no level. Only had 60 miles since oil change. It's a 455. Added three quarts and still no level. Dip stick was hard to install and found tube loose. Found tube separated from the block. How much oil is this likely to leak out. Can I expect the oil to blow out the opening? If so this would explain my oil loss issue last year. How is this best fixed? Is there a possibility that a piece dropped into the pan? Do I have to drop pan to fix?
