Well I’ve thought I smelled burning brakes for the last few days, just driving the coach around town for errands. Today when I pulled in to the lot at Home Depot i smelled it again and thought the coach was running strangely, as if a brake were stuck. I didn’t have my infrared thermometer with me but touching each of the wheels it was abundantly clear that the driver’s front wheel was HOT! Now my question is this - what should I look for to see if the bearing grease has liquified and gone south? Original knuckles - bearing serviced by Tom Hampton about 15,000 miles ago. 80mm calipers installed by the Beloved PO.

I have no idea yet what caused the caliper to freeze, but backing up and jamming on the brakes seemed to make it release. Tom also installed new stainless steel brake lines and I would assume new hoses too.
