Rob as I stated I really don't have any issues with either Jim or Ken. They were both very professional and provided the best service they can. After I left Jims shop the brakes were OK for a new brake job. I knew the brakes had to beak in. I did have a problem with one wheel in particular that reached 150+ degrees according to the TPS Jim installed for me. I qualified profession brake shop only to note that I didn't bring it to the local gas station. They found a broken spring when they pulled the drums and checked all the rear brakes. I told Jim about it and he volunteered to pay for the service but I declined because I felt it was not his problem. It is a 40 year old coach!
As I drove north I suspect now after Kens feedback that the booster, which was not changed, was failing little by little. When it got up to my house I decided to rework the brakes entirely including turning the drums, new shoes, new booster , new master cylinder, new rotors and wheel bearings all around. During the proceeds I may have installed a spring upside down. ( my screw up) the broken star wheel could have been damaged during the process of trying to get them adjusted far enough to get a decent pedal height. Then Ken found what he felt was a bad booster. The new one I put in!
So no complaints about anyone's service and Ken will be my man when I need help up north and Jim will be who I use when I have the coach down south. You guys here at the net will be my sounding board whenever I don't fully understand the problem or solution. I am an engineer and have to understand! Guess that's a problem with us engineers. Thanks for your help.
