Ray,

Welcome to the group, family, cult, asylum....

What you may not know is that the forum is a mirror of the e-mail list engine. So, roughly half the members receive e-mail in chronological order and the other half get to look up messages on the forum. The real reason that this matters is that if you want a new topic, then start one. They don't cost anything and it will make later reference to your subject much easier to locate at some later date. Changing the subject does not automatically start at new topic. On the forum, you do that at the top of the page.

Next thing, though the participants to the site are all vetted and in actual fact we know most of each other by name, there are some that are not and some that have read the forum in the past were spambots that collected @ddresses and phone nrs. To this end, if you choose to post either, just queer it up a little so it does not fit the template that spambots use. They are persistent, but not very smart, so if you spell the delineators of and @ddress or number for a phone, they won't find it.

And lastly, but not least by any means. You are now part of a community like few others. These are friendly helping people. This is one of the reasons that a good sigfile (like you have) is such a help. The only time before that I was part of a community such as this, was in all my prior life as a waterman. For this reason, I like to welcome new people here much as any new owner or vessel would be welcomed there. So,

May the Good Lord bless this coach and all those that set forth within her.

Welcome Ray

Matt
