Hello fellow GMCers.

My name is Jim Day, & my wife's name is Peggy Sue. We are new GMCMH owners and wanted to introduce ourselves to this apparently very active group of happy GMC MH owners. It is our goal to join you on upcoming tours, outings, get togethers and such with our new acquisition, our 1975 26' Avion. RV ing is somewhat new to us, as is our GMC Avion. However, we are eager to meet you folks and get involved as active members to have fun with our GMC, but also to share in the workload involved in putting on the activities which we've read about and which many of you have participated.

Peggy's brother, Guy Lopes, and his beautiful wife, Sandy, first got us interested in the GMC coaches and continued sending us photos of various coaches within your group, peaking our interest one step at a time until we actually saw & understood the beauty that was designed into the coaches. They took us to see a few coaches that were for sale in the Northern Cal area which gave us a better understandingof what we really wanted. Then, due to his getting the word out over the internet with you folks, we found the model that we had been looking for.

We bought our coach with an obvious flat tire, a leaky air bag and a dead battery and had it hauled to Applied GMC located in Newark, Ca. Once it arrived there, Jim Kanomata, owner and Nick Gutierrez, GMC Guru in charge of the shop performed a wall-to-wall inspection of our coach. Apparently, much work had recently been done to the front end and suspension. The exterior looks great. We are having what I consider to be the basics done by the pro's at Applied GMC. (Engine tune-up, Tranny flushed and new filter and pan gasket, new battery, all rubber hoses, belts, etc., replaced, Gas Tanks dropped and checked to insure that the float and gauge are working properly, Fuel pump replaced, motor mounts replaced,Brake hoses replaced, Rear shocks,Mufflers & Air bAgs replaced.) The interior will require some remodeling, paint, re-upholstring, window coverings, and re-staining of some of the wood work. Peggy and I will make that our winter project and
are looking forward to it.

We look forward to joining you soon.

Thanks,
Jim & Peggy Sue Day
