My GMC had not been out since the early October, and things seemed a little slow on the GMC forum last week, so I was not getting the GMC fix that I needed for my addiction. Easy solution, take the GMC out on Saturday morning to run a few errands. I turned the furnace on, checked the fluid levels, tire pressure, and she started started right up. The choke on the quadrajet worked perfectly and she ran at fast idle for several minutes while I went through the departure checklist; shore power disconnected, trickle charger disconnected, everything properly closed and stored away. I did about a 50 mile lap around our area while I hit a few stores I needed to go to. Everything worked well.

When I came out of the last store, there was a couple looking at the coach and the gentleman was explaining some of the finer points of the GMC to his wife. He was pretty excited about it and went on to tell us how he always wanted one because of the unique engineering and cool design. I asked if they would like to join me inside for a little tour. Fortunately the furnace had it nice and warm inside. I let them sit in the captains chairs and experience the view from the cockpit. Needless to say, they were very impressed and indicated that it might be time for them to start thinking about a GMC for themselves.

When I got home I started the Onan and gave it some exercise. It felt really good to have my furnace and generator both working properly (long story there). Anyway, the message here is to get the GMC out and give it some exercise, it will thank you, and you might even be able to give a tour.
