Water System Addendum - Beware well water! [message #265053]

When we were full timing in our fifth wheel years ago we filled our water tank with untreated well water. In the warm weather at the time this resulted in a bacteria bloom (rotten egg smell) in our water system and required a couple cycles of filling, draining and sanitizing the complete system with a Clorox solution. We now make it a point to fill our coach from a treated water source. We occasionally sanitize the coach system with a diluted Clorox solution. We also periodically sanitize our own domestic well.
